Lorelai and Luke | Easter Session

These pictures are so special to me, because they're of my own children. And, furthermore, these little bunnies they have are actually their bunnies that they each got when they were babies, and I took their month-by-month pictures each month, to document their growth for their first year, with their little bunnies. I commented to my friend, after pulling the bunnies out of storage for these photos, that the bunnies get smaller and smaller each day. Before having children of my own, I didn't realize quite what everyone meant when they said things like, "the days are long, but the years are short." It's all so true, as I live each day out with my two rambunctious toddlers. They're growing too quickly for Mommy's liking. So, in the meantime, I'll just try to get all the pictures I can of their sweet little faces, and their chubby little arms, that get a little leaner each year. I'll soak up all the sweet moments, because these are the years I'll want to remember forever. Happy Spring, dear friends!

Rachael, Shawn and Remi | Family Session

Rachael and Shawn recently got engaged, and we shot their engagement photos this weekend, but we also had to get a few family photos with their adorable daughter, Remi. Today, I wanted to share those family photos with you! Rachael and Shawn have such a sweet relationship, and I'm so happy they found each other. And, it's not every day that you see a baby as cute or as happy as Remi. She's seriously as sweet as she is adorable! We went down to a little creek to shoot these pictures, and I had so much fun, between the sun sparkling off the water, the dimpled baby smiles, and Rachael's soft, Romantic dress. I hope you love these family photos as much as I do!

Candace and Octavia | "Mommy & Me" Session

This sweet "Mommy & Me" session means more to me than you can imagine. Candace is my closest friend, and her and her husband, Sean, and their new adorable little baby live just minutes away from us. While I have two children, a daughter who is 4, and a son who is 2, Candace and I weren't sure we would ever be able to share in the joys and trials of motherhood together. You see, Candace and Sean suffered from infertility for years before they were able to finally welcome beautiful little Octavia into the world, this January. They went through the grueling journey of IVF to be here, now, holding this little angel. Octavia will never once wonder if her parents wanted her. They longed for her for half a decade. They waited on doctors, they prayed for timing, they saw negative pregnancy test, after negative pregnancy test. Candace underwent the pain of endometriosis, the awful hormone injections that come with the IVF process, the dietary restrictions, the false alarms, and more waiting. But, she would do it all again to hold this precious baby in her arms. And, I was there every step of the way, watching, cheering, longing to share in the process of motherhood with my best friend. What a joy it was to capture these photos, yesterday. Little Octavia, you are such blessing, and we can't wait to see what this life has in store for you. And, I can't wait to photograph it!
